I start my day in our greenhouses.

The farm is my natural environment

My first steps lead to our greenhouses every morning. I cannot imagine my day without a morning walk in the greenhouses. I am interested in the condition of the plants, functional wet soil, sufficiently ventilated greenhouses, moisture, temperature and health checks of the plants. I never miss the daily consultations with our agronomist, and twice a week we also consult on and discuss biological protection.
For me, our farm is a natural environment in which I live every day. When I go on holiday, I feel sad just being away from nature. One must simply “live by it”.

The “Oremus” surname is our quality guarantee

I am glad that people have learned to trust the “Oremus” surname. Many know my father’s bakery products, also sold under the Oremus brand, and this surname has always been regarded in our region as a guarantee of high quality and honest work. What we put on the packaging is what we guarantee. These are not the words of some anonymous farmer from the other side of the globe.

I say it myself. Branislav Oremus from Bánov.

We buy tomato seeds from the best breeding companies.

I have been teaching my staff since the very first day to pick only such tomatoes that they would buy themselves.

My father always taught me to put 100% effort into things, and I am grateful for that.

My little vegetable story

I grew up with vegetables

Honestly? I was bred on vegetables. Since early childhood, I remember how we used to grow tomatoes and peppers in our polytunnel at home, and how we used to sell them at the market place in Banská Bystrica. It was always a great event. We had to wash and dry each tomato manually, so that it was shiny and clean. My father always taught me to put 100% effort into things, and I am grateful for that. At night, we used to load up the car so we could put our vegetables on display first thing in the morning. At 5:30 a.m. the market place was always already full of people. I still have beautiful memories of this hustle and bustle.

That is how my love for cultivation, and also for domestic products, began to grow. Later, it developed even more with our family bakery, which my father founded in the 1990s. Working there, I met my future wife. Romance grew while sieving the flour. Just like in a movie. In addition to the bakery, we established the first official greenhouse that we built on our roof. Two in one. The greenhouse used excess heat from the bakery production for heating. Since 2007, we have gradually reconstructed the original greenhouses. Today we grow tomatoes and gerberas at the highest level. We choose the natural path and apply new knowledge in our greenhouses.
My Dad´s bakery? It is very famous in western Slovakia, but I decided to dedicate my life to cultivation. I dedicate all my time to tomatoes and gerberas. And to my wife and two daughters, of course.
